I agree Metallica changed a lot since load and the fight against naspter was ridiculous.

But about the "no solo" in St Anger, you should see he documentary called "Some kind of monster" it explains a few things.

I still think they are great but something is missing, either I grew up or they screwed up ;)

You could turn off the alarm.
I always liked to blow up hitler, then goto the Set-Alarm-Off closet room, after the blowup, turn off alarm. then go back to hister room.
you would always find a body in that blown up room.

I am not sure i understand your point,

you watch movies that deal with death and play games that surround the killing concept.
you go to hospitals and funerals
you have life insurance.
wherever you go you see commercials about death like when driving under the influence of alcohol.

so whats the issue here? that we are all about to die?
true

The ministry of transportation are EDI affiliates.
EDI pays them wither by cash or by organs.
In case it was someone like Elizabeth Hardy I think they take the organs.

I was ready to scroll past this post when I noticed the image seemed oddly familiar. I never got to finish bone, but reading this I think I might have to. I loved the quirky characters way back when.

I'd love to recommend a comic of my own to you, but most of my faves are in french. If you get a chance, check out Laurent Parcelier's "Les 7 boules vertes". The french art style is simply marvelous.

We are brothers at heart my friend. The flipside is if you do try to implement everything you think up, your mind will crack. We can't prioritise properly, and that's why the world dictates priorities to us. Which we loathe, but then what are we going to do about it?

Best suggestion so far: A signficant other who is also a control freak plus a few low-wage hirelings. I've tried the latter with varied success, but I guess I don't go too well with control freaks. Now I'm taking the world at my stride. I'm still creating oodles of lists and sketches and concepts in order to get the stuff out of my head. But I'm not taking myself too seriously. Sure, the Arabs built the indoor beach before I could. But whatever. I'm relaxed.

People certainly shouldn't be oblivious to those around them. The recent school shootings could have been prevented, the warning signs were there.

That being said, the suggestions in this ad are downright despiccable. Suspicious websites? Planning *something* ("Homeland security showed up at my surprise birthday party...")? Nightly deliveries? What are they gonna do, show up *everywhere* at the same time to check out ordinary people going about their business? Call the police when someone tries to rob or kill you. Call social services when you see unkempt or isolated children.

Otherwise get the fuchs off my lawn.

I've only had a very short stint at Another World on Amiga. Can't say that the slow-paced gameplay really tickles my fancy, but this 8-Bit Demake looks gorgeous. If you're really into that stuff, check out tigsource.com. They hosted a compo last year, with some amazing tech demos as result. My personal favorite was the Homeworld demake, sweet 16-Bit graphics, nice ambient music, insane level of polish. I wish the creators would develop it further. Come to think of it, maybe I should try my hand at some old school game design...
