Spamalot

your blog is so important. you are the new media…

I am the new media! That’s brilliant! I feel like I’m fighting off evil spammers on an hourly basis. I just get flooded with mail about how my post is important, and that some Joe Spam likes my design, oh, and btw, here’s a link to cheap viagra.

WHO BUYS CHEAP VIAGRA ANYWAY? people die and dicks explode for expensive viagra, so there are people who actually buy cheap crap?

Oh, and if I’m already ranting, here’s another thing. Screw all you assholes who uploaded crap videos that match the term “Dora Explorer” on YouTube! I’m babysitting a kid, I just promised her Dora clips, how the hell do you explain SNL skit to a 2-yr old? No, that’s a joke about immigrant sweety, this is not the real Dora… oh, hell..

Life’s good

My cat’s back for a visit
Eels is playing in the background
Having growth problems with dumpr (scale late everyone?)

AND, Sue posted this on her flickr stream. How cool is that? It’s titled “dumpr possibilities”.
Thanks, Sue!

dumpr possibilities

Say hello to my new server!

He’s a newborn, weighting godknowshowmuch, spawning on dual core xeons at 2.00ghz, with a nice parking space for 250gb and a raid1 mirror. A whopping 2gb ram and a nice 10Mb uplink.

It’s my new httpd server, my asterisk server, my squid proxy (for pandora.com, of course), my ssh tunnel box, my love.

IT’S SO CUTE I WANT TO KISS IT!

An Itch I Must Scratch!

There’s an itch I must scratch. Well, there are several of them. It’s not easy being me, trust me. I come up with ideas on a daily basis, and can never find the time to implement. I’m already over my neck with stuff to do and falling behind, and yet, every day I see a new opportunity to do something that has never been done before.

We always say that an artist never blames the tools. I’ve been trying different ways of organizing my thoughts and to-do lists. I’ve tried spreadsheets with due dates, I’ve tried sticky notes, online to-do lists, heck, even, hung a drawing board on my wall with priorities. Nothing works; and I’m always looking for answer: why can’t I get my stuff done? Can’t be because I have too much to do.

A friend of mine once tried to quit using his computer. He emailed everybody that he’s putting an end to it, and everybody emailed him “best of luck, don’t forget us”-kind of emails. The next day he emailed that he’s still alive, and on the third day he was online on msn :) that’s how it works.

I have this nasty habit of checking my statistics every minute. I haven’t even merged them into one-click views. I need to telnet my machines, check my google stats, check my webalizer, feedburner and whatnot. And I do it all the time.

I wonder what I’m doing wrong…

On a side note, I have finally released a new effect for dumpr. It’s a Rubik’s Cube Generator. Check out the image below! What do you think of that?

Rubik's Cube!
