I have this love/hate relationship with flights. Don’t get me wrong, I still get green and dizzy even before arrival at the airport, nothing new there, but there’s something magical (not Mary Popins kind of magical,) about That D-Day.
When you’re going on a trip, there are always sudden errands that must be completed before the flight; your fridge must be clean of food (need to come up with creative ideas to eat all that food and drink all that beer,) and there’s always that fun moment when you realize you don’t have power cords for your laptop (AGAIN.) Though I did find my guitar’s Whammy Bar while looking! (last seen, 3 years ago; mother guitar is very excited!)
One thing I was really happy to finish is Bone. It’s that awesome graphic novel I’ve always wanted to read. I recently purchased it, the entire 1400 pages single-volume of it and just had to complete it before taking off. Now, I have mixed feelings about this baby, still haven’t decided if it’s cool or ubercool. It’s nothing like what I expected, and after putting down the novel for 5 minutes, I picked it up again as re-read all those panels with Bartleby; I love him so much I will bake him a cake!
Okay, each blog entry of mine is so long it will need its own zip code soon. I’ll let you all off the hook. See you on the dark side of the moon!
