German Ehrensenf Internet TV has a 10 seconds review of museum and how to use it (for german speakers.)
These 10 seconds brought in 1500 unique visitors today. It’s still beyond my grasp, how many people use this thing you guys call, The Internets??

I has been a perfect day.
I slept good, woke up late. Slowly sat at the keyboard, worked for a while; managed to get my fucking horrible web designer to refund some money for a design I won’t be using. Walked with a laptop in my backpack to a cafe and sat coding for a couple of hours. Happy with the results; Friend joined later and we chatted for a couple of hours. Night came, and I had a great sushi combination at Frame Sushi-Bar, and now it’s time to thank for the people in charge.
Thank you so very much, Israeli police. Thank you for leaving that 500 shekels ticket on my window ($120). I know it must have been really annoying for letting me park on the sidewalk at 21:15. It really set an example when you put that lovely paper on my window; bless me, singled me out, the only car in that row to get one. I feel unique.
So once again, thank you. If it weren’t for you, I would have had problems deciding what to do with those $120:
1. Get an extra 320gb WD usb2.0 disk
2. Buy myself The Complete Far Side volumes
3. Pay for gas tonight
4. Pay for the sushi for the entire table
5. Start saving towards my own Space Rock Paperweight
Some people might think I’m being cynical, but I’m not. My mind was so busy picking one from the list above, that I just needed your help.
Cheers

I checked dumpr’s traffic ranking on Alexa, whoop! What used to be #308,000 was now around #10K. Even a better position than the mighty fd! It won’t last long, so screenshot is in place.

Ah, now where’s all the money and babes I was promised??

Completely blown away!
photojojo has posted an entry about dumpr.net today.
Let me elaborate how my day worked out today. I woke up, dizzy and with a sore throat (damn that disease!), sat down with one eye open at the keyboard and checked statistics. I restarted my gimp-server on dumpr, and when it reloaded, there were 10-or-so requests in backlog. I was stunned! While I was trying to make some use of the other eye, gmail notifier popped up and told me there’s an email from photojojo. I checked my gmail and saw an article on dumpr.
It was like magic. Every second there was a request, I couldn’t breathe. Out of nowhere, dumpr received this mass flood of (so-far) 7,000 unique visitors. A lot of them emailed in some suggestions, bug reports and generally this-is-a-great-site kindof emails. I even got flamed, my first flame :’)
This is a very rewarding experience. I’m updating dumpr with bug fixes while traffic is still pouring in. I applied the missing upload-photo and embed-photo features, and immediately people started using them. Build it and they will come
Tomorrow is another day at the office, and I’m hooking at refreshing my google analytics page
Cheers!

I don’t get it.
I wake up early, I go on the computer and check my mail, and bam!, clock hits 10pm and another day ends. I think I hit some time-sucking vortex and I can’t get off. Why am I so busy? I don’t have a day job, I’m not working out my errands, I barely go pubbin’ once a week… Hmpf!
On some more serious notes. I’ve been spending my time with so many code projects that I haven’t done anything artistic lately. Muh brand new EOS 350D is still brand new :S. Muh flickr activity has been ridiculously reduced to dumpr.net show-offs. That’s kinda sad when you think about it. Oh well.
I’ve been working on some crazy stuff lately. I think I’m a digg whore
That was my 5-minutes break! Back to my code-editor and back to work (where’s my cold-coffee?.) Here’s today’s fave, cosplay geekery:

Damn!
Denmark is on fire. I can’t believe the shit that’s been going on. Copenhagen is such a calm place. I lived there for almost a year, as an employee of IO Interactive. While working there, friends teased me (that’s okay, it was funny) how all this laid-back lifestyle must be foreign for me.
BUT
1. On the day of the interview, a Muslim extremist tried to blow up the train station.
2. On my first weekend in Denmark, the whole Muhammad cartoon shenanigan started. I finished my glass of Coke and left the cafe, straight into the mob. Talk about luck
3. At the beginning of 2nd Lebanon War, plenty of refugees came to Copenhagen. On the first week there have been power struggles right outside my window, probably between new people and the old gang. Streets lights were then shut off to get people off my street
4. On my last month in Copenhagen, there were riots about the exact same house that they are talking about in the news. Luckily I was in England/Ireland on vacation that week, and came back after things cooled off.
Now I see all this shit on tv and I recognize everything. I see the 7-Eleven I bought all my chocolate at, I see the Netto minimarket where I got my food. Heck, I even see my building, and it’s always a bad things when you see your own apartment in the news.
Two friends from IO have been teargassed; It’s not that they were protesting again or anything, heck, haven’t heard one person who’s in favor of the mess that’s going on.
I hope this shit ends quickly and Copenhagen goes back to its normal life style. Summer is just incredible in the city, I wouldn’t want to see it ruined.
All the best.
